Designing with Intention: The Brianna Michelle x Audrey Lane Collection
Some collaborations are born from strategy; others from shared passion. The Brianna Michelle x Audrey Lane Collection grew from both — and from two decades of creative friendship. What began as conversations between neighbors and colleagues in the Orlando design community evolved into one of Audrey Lane’s most nuanced and nature-inspired offerings yet.
This collection embodies the timeless, tactile aesthetic of interior designer Brianna Michelle, interpreted through Audrey Lane’s craftsmanship and artistry. The result is a line of 21 Skord patterns and 9 Waterjet designs that explore how the rhythms of nature can shape modern architecture.
From Landscape to Linework
“The outdoors has always been my greatest source of inspiration,” Brianna explains. “From trails to coastlines and layered landscapes, I’m drawn to the balance and movement found in nature. With Audrey Lane, I translated that connection into patterns that feel intentional, grounded, and timeless.”
Born in California and deeply influenced by the landscapes of the West and Southwest, Brianna has long been fascinated by the relationship between the built environment and the natural one. Her collaboration with Audrey Lane channels that sensibility — blending organic movement with architectural precision to create surfaces that invite calm and connection.
“Brianna has an incredible eye for the subtle,” says Holli Van Cleave, co-founder of Audrey Lane. “She finds elegance in quiet details — the way light shifts across a surface or how texture can completely change the mood of a space.
The Skord Collection: Texture, Balance, and Form
The heart of the collection lies in its Skord designs — tactile porcelain tiles that celebrate the art of subtlety. Defined by clean geometry and sculptural depth, these patterns are designed to build texture and tone into a space rather than dominate it.
“My aesthetic is timeless and understated, grounded in natural materials and thoughtful detail,” Brianna says. “I create spaces and surfaces that invite calm, connection, and balance, reflecting principles of biophilic design.”
Each Skord pattern captures a natural rhythm: the grain of wood in Woods, the horizon lines of National Park, the layered movement of Ridge and Trail. Available in multiple sizes and scales, these designs can be used individually or combined to form entirely new compositions — a system of surfaces that encourages experimentation.
One of the most meaningful designs to Brianna is Wanderlust, a pattern that unites seven Skord motifs into one cohesive piece. “It embodies movement, balance, and a subtle connection to nature,” she says. “It captures the essence of the collection.”
For Audrey Lane partner Jennifer Horning, the artistry lies in the restraint. “Brianna takes tile seriously — it’s not an afterthought. It’s the foundation of the canvas. She uses tile to elevate a space, even when the design is understated.”
The Waterjet Collection: Precision with Soul
If Skord represents touch and texture, the Waterjet collection introduces structure and refinement. Here, Brianna’s organic sketches become carefully cut porcelain forms — arcs, angles, and intersections that echo natural movement through modern geometry.
The nine Waterjet designs expand her aesthetic vocabulary, each one distinct yet connected to the collection’s central themes. Adventure Awaits offers timeless triangular rhythm; Off the Beaten Path brings gentle playfulness, its shapes reminiscent of stepping stones across a stream; Hidden Trail and Wild & Free explore the interaction of light and shadow in layered design.
“We actually took some of her Skord patterns and turned them into Waterjet versions,” says Van Cleave. “They were perfectly set up to transition over, which makes this collection truly flexible.”
“The collaboration stands out for its intentionality and craftsmanship,” adds Brianna. “The designs are rooted in natural inspiration, realized in a way that feels timeless and accessible.”
Designing with Purpose
Brianna’s interior projects — from custom home builds to full-scale renovations — have always reflected a lifestyle approach to design. She balances architecture, function, and emotion, creating spaces that are as livable as they are beautiful. That same philosophy defines her collection with Audrey Lane.
“This project reinforces my belief in designing with intention and connection,” Brianna says. “It demonstrates how thoughtful design can bring the outdoors into everyday life.”
For architects and designers, the line offers a material language that bridges serenity and strength. The tiles are crafted in porcelain, making them durable enough for commercial applications while maintaining a refined, tactile quality suitable for high-end residential use. With options for color and scale customization, each pattern becomes a flexible design tool — equally at home in boutique hotels, hospitality settings, or private residences.
A Study in Connection
At its core, the Brianna Michelle x Audrey Lane Collection is about connection: to nature, to craft, and to the way we inhabit space. It’s about slowing down, noticing texture, and designing environments that feel grounded and alive.
“Brianna’s work has always been about connection — to place, to people, to how we experience our environments,” says Van Cleave. “This collection captures that spirit beautifully.”
From the soft rhythm of Trail to the sculptural presence of National Park, every piece reflects a deep respect for form and the natural world. It’s not simply surface design — it’s an exploration of movement, material, and meaning.
